Monument of La Coubre, Circa 1960
"Monument to the Explosion of La Coubre by the sculptor Tomas Oliva Gonzalez built with pieces rescued from the shipwreck. (Monumento a la Explosión de La Coubre por el escultor Tomás Oliva González construido con piezas rescatadas del barco siniestrado.) The sculpture needs restoration, most of it's original parts have been removed. At present, almost nothing of its original appearance remains.
